During a visit to Salt Lake City, the First Lady met with businessmen and philanthropists, urging them to get involved in Ukraine's recovery.

Olena Zelenska thanked everyone for helping our country and spoke about the consequences of the July 8 Russian shelling, which destroyed one of the buildings of the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital in Kyiv.

"This brutal attack demonstrates once again that Ukraine needs the world's attention and support. We need your help to save lives and rebuild. My mission now is not only to tell the world the truth about what is happening in Ukraine, but also to actively contribute to the recovery of my country and help Ukrainians," the First Lady said.

She explained how, thanks to cooperation with American philanthropists, the Olena Zelenska Foundation is implementing projects to arrange school shelters, provide students with gadgets for distance learning, build housing for large foster families, and create educational classes at hospitals – "Schools of superheroes".

"There was such a school at Okhmatdyt on Monday morning. But it no longer exists. One classroom was completely destroyed after a direct missile hit. Another one – an educational space for preschoolers – was severely damaged. Fortunately, no children or teachers were injured. The Foundation has committed to restoring the destroyed educational space at Okhmatdyt hospital," the First Lady said.
