A new educational center of the “School of Superheroes” has begun operations in Mukachevo. After the New Year holidays, a comprehensive educational space—a place where learning becomes a support on the path to recovery—has been launched for children undergoing long-term treatment at the hospital.

The establishment of the center was fully funded by the Olena Zelenska Foundation. This center became the sixth School of Superheroes, opening in 2025 with the assistance of Olena Zelenska.

“The Olena Zelenska Foundation believes it to be essential that children who are forced to undergo long-term treatment have the opportunity to continue their studies in a comfortable and safe environment. The School of Superheroes educational center in Mukachevo is not only about knowledge, but also about support, mental health, and inner strength that helps children on their path to recovery,” Director of the Olena Zelenska Foundation Viktoriia Romanova noted.

The new space has been established based on the regional hospital. The oncohematology department has a classroom for preschoolers and a mental health room. The surgical department now hosts classrooms for primary, middle, and high school students. The educational center is equipped with ergonomic furniture, an interactive whiteboard, tablets, and modern educational accessories, providing a comfortable, safe environment for children to learn during treatment.

The educational process in Mukachevo began even before the repair was completed—classes were held directly in the wards. Since May 2025, the School of Superheroes team has held almost 9,000 classes. The new educational center now employs 11 Super teachers who support children in their studies daily.

In 2025, with full funding from the Olena Zelenska Foundation, six new educational centers of the School of Superheroes were opened in Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Lutsk, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, and Mukachevo cities.

“We thank the Foundation and international donors for their cooperation. For thousands of children who were hospitalized, our classrooms became a place of knowledge, strength, care, and inspiration. Knowledge heals, our superheroes have proven that. We are happy to continue and develop the chain of educational spaces together, so that as many children in hospitals as possible can learn and develop,” Nataliia Zhylinska, Director of the School of Superheroes, emphasized.
