The Olena Zelenska Foundation team, together with MND Ukraine Director Lukáš Svozil, visited the School of Superheroes educational center at Vinnytsia Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital. The visit took place as part of a long-term partnership with the Czech company MND Group, which consistently supports the Foundation’s initiatives.

The Vinnytsia center opened in 2024 with funding from the Olena Zelenska Foundation. The same team of educators has worked there since its opening. For children undergoing long-term medical treatment, familiar teachers are an important source of support, helping them maintain a sense of safety, trust, and stability.

This year, with support from MND Group, the Foundation expanded the Vinnytsia center by establishing the first dedicated educational space within the School of Superheroes network for children receiving treatment in a psychiatric ward. British child psychiatrists and Ukrainian psychologists were involved in its development to ensure that the space meets children’s needs and the requirements of a safe therapeutic environment.

The space includes three functional areas: a classroom, a room for specialized educational and developmental sessions, and a quiet room for emotional relief. Daily activities help children maintain their usual routine and stay connected to learning during their hospital stay.

“For children receiving treatment in a psychiatric ward, it is important to have the opportunity to learn in an environment that meets their needs. That is why, together with MND Group, we supported the creation of the first dedicated educational space within the School of Superheroes network for these children in Vinnytsia. This is an important step toward ensuring that more children have access to education, the support they need, and opportunities for development during treatment,” said Viktoriia Romanova, Director of the Olena Zelenska Foundation.

The Olena Zelenska Foundation began its partnership with MND Group in 2025. With the company’s support, the Foundation organized the inclusive Space Camp and provided humanitarian assistance to 111 large foster families in the Poltava and Kirovohrad regions. In 2026, the partnership expanded to support the School of Superheroes network: together with MND Group, the Foundation expanded the educational center in Vinnytsia and established an educational space at a children’s hospital in Ivano-Frankivsk.

“It is important to us that our support for Ukraine goes beyond one-off initiatives and delivers tangible, long-term results. When a child undergoes complex medical treatment, the opportunity to continue learning, communicate with teachers, and maintain a familiar daily routine is especially important. This is even more significant today, as Ukrainian children are growing up amid war. We are pleased that, through our partnership with the Olena Zelenska Foundation, we can contribute to creating such spaces. For MND Group, this is not only a matter of social responsibility but also an investment in Ukraine’s future,” said Lukáš Svozil, Director of MND Ukraine.

Over the past three years, 15 School of Superheroes educational spaces have been opened or expanded in children’s hospitals across Ukraine with support from the Olena Zelenska Foundation. The Foundation continues to support the network’s development so that children can continue learning and developing, even during long-term medical treatment.
