Olena Zelenska Foundation distributes humanitarian aid to large foster families in Vinnytsia region

The Olena Zelenska Foundation provided comprehensive humanitarian aid to 45 large foster families in the Vinnytsia region. It transferred household appliances, furniture, energy independence equipment, and gadgets and sporting goods worth more than 4 million hryvnias to meet the families’ needs in the region.

The Foundation considers support for large foster families one of its systemic activities. To ensure that assistance is as effective as possible, the Foundation team assembles each assistance kit based on each family’s specific requests.

Modern household appliances, furniture, and generators were delivered to homes to help families meet their everyday needs and ensure energy stability. Children received laptops, tablets, sports equipment, and bicycles for educational purposes, development, and leisure.

“Consistent support for large foster families is a practical priority for the Olena Zelenska Foundation. By creating appropriate conditions for children’s education and growth, we reduce the household burden on parents and help families maintain a sense of stability during the war. Warming homes in winter, providing school equipment, and offering opportunities to play sports are basic measures that give children confidence and inspire parents,” Viktoriia Romanova, General Director of the Olena Zelenska Foundation, noted.

Assistance to families in the Vinnytsia region was made possible thanks to broad international support. Kellner Family Foundation provided funding to purchase household appliances and furniture; Ziedot.lv Foundation provided laptops for children’s education; and UNHCR provided portable power plants.

To date, about 800 large foster families in 23 regions of Ukraine have received assistance. The Foundation team continues to stay in touch with families and systematically expand programs to support family-based care nationwide.
