The Olena Zelenska Foundation enhances the energy sustainability of Ukrainian communities. Amid regular attacks on critical infrastructure, the team consistently supplies hospitals, educational and social institutions with backup power sources.

Since the beginning of the year, the Foundation has distributed 92 generators of various capacities at a total cost of nearly UAH 36 million. This aid has reached different regions of Ukraine and helped thousands of people.

The team paid special attention to educational institutions. In particular, 29 generators were transferred for educational needs in Solomianskyi, Desnianskyi, and Dniprovskyi districts of Kyiv city. As a result, more than 20,000 children can continue their training even during power outages. 16 educational institutions in the Sumy region also received the equipment.

Six generators were distributed to medical institutions — three in Sumy region, two in Kyiv and one in the village of Sosnytsia, Chernihiv region. This equipment ensures the hospital's autonomous operation during power cuts.

A separate area is support for social institutions. A total of 16 generators were distributed to geriatric facilities where older and disabled individuals reside, as well as to support and rehabilitation centers.

Ten generators already ensure the operation of Invincibility Points and educational institutions in communities across the Dnipro region during power outages.

Generators were also relocated to large foster families in Kyiv, Dnipro, Cherkasy, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, and other regions to ensure children's safety and meet basic needs during power outages.

The Olena Zelenska Foundation has committed to funding and coordinating the connection of powerful generators to utility lines to ensure their efficient, uninterrupted operation. The equipment commissioning work has already begun.

When an educational institution, healthcare facility, or even a family has an alternative energy source, it brings a sense of stability and security, even during power outages. Ensuring that children can access education in all situations, patients receive continuous treatment, and social institutions always have light and warmth is crucial for us," Viktoriia Romanova, Director General of the Olena Zelenska Foundation, says.

The aid is provided in cooperation with international partners, in particular the embassies for Ukraine in Poland, Moldova, the Czech Republic, and Sweden, the Ukrainian-Turkish Business Council (DEIK), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Black Sea Trade and Development Bank, CGU Istanbul, Hilti Foundation, The Kellner Family Foundation, HEARTLAND A/S, Beredskapslyftet, and Svenska Kraftprodukter AB.

The Foundation team continues to work on attracting and facilitating the transfer alternative food sources and is preparing a new phase of support for institutions and communities.

Another 56 generators of various capacities will soon be distributed to educational and healthcare institutions, as the need for support remains high. Light and heat are essential for the continuous operation of hospitals, the training of children, and helping people through difficult times.
