Olena Zelenska Foundation provided humanitarian aid to 38 large foster families in Transcarpathia

The Olena Zelenska Foundation provided humanitarian aid to 38 large foster families in the Transcarpathia region, with the total cost exceeding UAH 4.3 million.

Today, these families are parenting 234 children. They include both local families and families who, due to the full-scale war, were forced to leave their homes in other regions of Ukraine and relocate to Transcarpathia.

“Support for large foster families has been an important part of the Foundation’s work from the very beginning, and we continue it today. For families with many children, having everything they need for daily life, study, and development is essential. Therefore, we tailor assistance to each family’s needs. We aim to support parents and create proper conditions for children,” Viktoriia Romanova, Director of the Olena Zelenska Foundation, noted.

The aid for each family was tailored to its specific needs. Families received nearly 80 units of major and small appliances, including refrigerators, washing machines, and kitchen accessories.

The Foundation donated more than 120 laptops, tablets, and smartphones to support children’s education. In addition, families received beds, memory-foam mattresses, wardrobes, desks, and home textiles.

More than 60 pieces of sports equipment were handed over to children for active leisure, including bicycles in various sizes, balls, bouncy houses, and volleyball nets.

Families also received generators and portable chargers to meet basic needs during power outages.

The Olena Zelenska Foundation has supported large foster families since its founding. Assistance is tailored to each family’s requests to provide what they need most. To date, the Foundation has provided essential items and equipment to more than 800 large foster families across Ukraine.
