The "12–21" space was opened in Kryvyi Rih with support from the Association of Foundations and Savings Banks (ACRI), Italy. This is the fourth space in the network creating by the Olena Zelenska Foundation.
Here, young people aged 12 to 21 can participate in events and receive psychosocial support in a safe, friendly environment. They always have specialists nearby whom they can turn to for support.
The space was launched in a format that aligns with its very idea — together with and for youth. During the master classes, participants explored the space through hands-on activities, discussing topics such as choice, the future, and a sense of community. The Olena Zelenska Foundation team also attended the event to personally hear young people's first impressions and feedback.
"Creating spaces where young people can be themselves — free from fear of judgment, pressure, or the need to meet expectations — is essential for us. This is the approach we use to develop the '12–21' network," Olena Zelenska said.
Kryvyi Rih's space is already bustling with activity. It hosts master classes, psychosocial sessions, career guidance sessions, film nights, and book clubs.
"We are grateful to our partners who support the growth of the '12–21' network and help create safe, open spaces for young people. Such cooperation helps make support more accessible where it is truly needed," said Viktoriia Romanova, Head of the Foundation.
Youth Spaces "12–21" are already open in Bila Tserkva, Chernihiv, Khmelnytskyi, and now in Kryvyi Rih. The Olena Zelenska Foundation continues to develop this project across different regions of Ukraine.
