The Olena Zelenska Foundation has delivered 1,300 laptops to children in the Zaporizhzhia region to ensure uninterrupted access to education amid the full-scale war.
The delivery was carried out as part of the “Devices for Education” project, aimed at systematically supporting the learning process in frontline regions. This assistance meets 65% of the demand for devices among students from vulnerable groups, including internally displaced children, children from large families, children of military personnel, and children with special educational needs.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, the educational process is often organized in shelters and underground schools. Under such conditions, a laptop is an essential tool for accessing education. The provided devices are also intended to support students’ mobility, particularly in relocated communities that were forced to leave temporarily occupied territories and continue their studies in the region.
Children from 26 communities in the region will receive the laptops.
In addition, the devices will be delivered to several regional educational institutions, including the Matviivka Academic Lyceum, Scientific Lyceum of the Khortytsia National Academy, Zaporizhzhia Regional Academic Lyceum Alta, Zaporizhzhia Regional Academic Lyceum Kozatskyi.
“It is important for us that every child, regardless of circumstances, has access to education. In frontline regions, this is not only about education — it is about stability, support, and the future. We are working systematically to ensure that children can continue learning even in the most challenging conditions,” said Viktoriia Romanova, Director of the Olena Zelenska Foundation.
In total, within this project, the Olena Zelenska Foundation has already delivered 7,634 devices to the Zaporizhzhia region, and since its establishment — over 65,000 laptops and tablets for students and teachers across Ukraine.
This delivery was made possible thanks to the support of international partners — the Government of the United Arab Emirates, the Embassy of Ukraine in Italy, and the Embassy of Ukraine in Vietnam.
The Foundation continues its systematic efforts to ensure access to education, directing support where it is most needed.
