The Olena Zelenska Foundation continues its work to strengthen the energy resilience of social infrastructure in cooperation with partners, providing social institutions and families with essential equipment.

This time, assistance was directed to geriatric and social care institutions accommodating elderly people and persons with disabilities, as well as to foster and large foster families caring for children. As part of this phase of support, the Foundation delivered 12 generators and 8 portable power stations.

In particular, 5 generators and 6 portable power stations were provided to geriatric and social care institutions supported by the Yulyni Babusi Charitable Foundation.

A 7 kW generator was delivered to the Hornostaipil Geriatric Residential Care Home in the Kyiv region, where 116 elderly people and persons with disabilities reside. The equipment will help maintain heating and ensure the operation of the modular boiler house.

The Nataliia Uzhvii House of Stage Veterans in the Kyiv region, home to 17 elderly residents and previously without a generator, received a 10 kW generator.

Another 10 kW generator was delivered to the inpatient department of the Territorial Center for Social Services of the Ivankiv Settlement Council, where 37 elderly persons with disabilities currently reside.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, assistance was provided to the Verkhivtseve Psycho-Neurological Residential Institution — a women’s facility housing 315 residents, including internally displaced persons. Six portable power stations were delivered to six different departments to ensure basic autonomy during power outages.

Additionally, two 10 kW generators were delivered to the Center for Social Services of the Tomashivka Village Council in the Kyiv region, where elderly persons with disabilities reside.

Separately, six generators with capacities ranging from 3.5 to 7 kW were delivered to foster and large foster families in the Dnipropetrovsk region. One additional generator will be provided to a large foster family in the Kharkiv region to ensure children’s basic needs and the family’s safety during potential power outages.

Furthermore, two portable power stations were delivered to the Municipal Institution “Center for Social Services” of the Monastyryshche City Council in the Cherkasy region.

The provision of generators was made possible thanks to the support of the Ukrainian-Turkish Business Council operating within the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEİK), as well as the assistance of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Istanbul and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. The portable power stations were provided with the support of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

Later this week, the Foundation plans the next stage of assistance — the delivery of high-capacity generators to educational institutions in the city of Kyiv.
