On December 6, 2023, on Saint Nicholas Day, all 11 Superhero Schools received gifts from Olena Zelenska Foundation.

First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, and the Foundation team visited two Superhero Schools in Zhytomyr region to convey their greetings.

During the visit, the First Lady and her team attended an open history lesson dedicated to Saint Nicholas Day. Such informative lessons were organized in all 11 Superhero Schools this year.

Olena Zelenska and the Foundation team also visited children's wards. In these wards, children who are currently undergoing long-term medical treatment receive distance education in various subjects.

"Sometimes children have to live in hospital rooms for several months or even years due to illnesses such as cancer or war-related injuries. Thanks to schools like these and their teachers and educators, kids can be treated and educated at the same time, keeping up with the curriculum, gaining knowledge and making plans for the future," said Olena Zelenska, First Lady of Ukraine and founder of the Foundation.

Each of the 11 Superhero Schools received holiday kits from Olena Zelenska Foundation that included puzzles, board games, creative and developmental items, toys.

"This year, Olena Zelenska Foundation greeted students of the Superhero Schools across the country. Saint Nicholas is supposed to visit every child without exception, no matter where they are. We were able to realize this heartwarming project thanks to reliable international partners in the areas we focus on, namely education and humanitarian aid," said Nina Horbachova, Director of the Foundation.

Our partners from Nova Poshta ensured festive packaging and timely delivery of gifts to all institutions at their own expense.

Ukrainian celebrities also greeted the students of the Superhero Schools. For instance, TV and radio host Nikita Dobrynin visited children in Kyiv region, while Tymur Miroshnychenko and Oleh Verniaiev extended their greetings to the children of Kyiv.
