Units of the National Police in the Kherson, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions have received 20 water purification units.
Frontline areas are constantly targeted by the Russian enemy. Therefore, local residents often lack access to drinking water due to de-energized or destroyed water treatment and pumping stations etc.
Thanks to the German concern WILO SE, Olena Zelenska Foundation has provided the units of the National Police 20 PAUL water purification systems. They will be sent to the Kherson, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions. The equipment will provide local residents with drinking water, if needed.
One water filtration unit can purify up to 1,200 liters of water per day, thus meeting the daily water needs of 400 people.
This is not the first time Olena Zelenska Foundation has cooperated with WILO SE. Last year, our partners from Germany donated 30 PAUL systems, which were distributed among the units of the State Emergency Service of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The PAUL systems were actively used in the local Points of Invincibility, providing drinking water to the residents of the affected communities.
