The second shift of the vacation for children and their foster parents in Artek-Bukovel has started. Organized by the Olena Zelenska Foundation, a total of 230 children from 38 large foster families had the opportunity to recharge in the health camp. Large foster families from Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Cherkasy went to the Carpathians for 12 days.

"At first, we planned to organize vacations for children and their foster parents based on the principle of 'one region - one shift'. But the aggressor changed our plans by blowing up the Kahovska dam. So we decided that the large families from Kherson and Mykolaiv need psychological and physical recovery the most," said Nina Horbachova, the director of the Foundation.

The second shift in the Carpathians also includes foster families that have been forced to relocate within the country from Cherkasy, Odesa, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions.

The Foundation took care of the relaxation and leisure activities for both children and adults. In the camp children aged 7 to 17 can enjoy mountain hikes, campfire gatherings, dances, and various sports quests. A separate excursion program has been developed for younger children and their parents.

By the end of August, with the support of the Olena Zelenska Foundation and international donors, 1,200 children and their parents from 150 large foster families will have a vacation in the Carpathians.
