In Kyiv, the project for children, "Iron Mykolay", was launched. As part of it, young participants can visit the fabulous performance "Ostap in the Iron Land of Miracle" at St. Mykolay's residence, receive gifts from project partners and most importantly - have a carefree time on the eve of the winter holidays. The "Iron Mykolay" project is organized by the Oleksandr Pikalov Fond and supported by Olena Zelenska Foundation. It will last from December 19 to January 20. All events take place on the Kyiv Children's Railway territory.
The project is held for children from foster families, children refugees, children from low-income families, children of military personnel, national guardsmen, employees of the State Emergency Service and Ukrzaliznytsia, as well as young railway volunteers and children with disabilities.
According to the first lady of Ukraine, founder of the Olena Zelenska Foundation, Ukrainian children should have a holiday and joy no matter what.
"Children are our future. And no one can take away their holidays and sense of wonder. We must continue organizing such festive events for them, so they feel our support," said Olena Zelenska.
One of the priority directions of the Foundation is to help children, particularly from foster families. Kids from family-type orphanages became the guests of the celebration on December 25.
So far, 21 family-type orphanages in Kyiv and Odesa regions have already received humanitarian aid from Olena Zelenska Foundation. They have got: heaters, laptops, household appliances, hygiene products, warm blankets and sleeping bags.
Olena Zelenska Foundation, in partnership with international funds and leaders, continues to help foster families with all the necessary equipment and goods, fully covering their needs.
The "Iron Mykolay" project partners, which handed over gifts for children, are the "Epicentr" market chain and the Ukrainian Federation of Provision Banks.
